[CSR001] Oxynucid - Vault 13 (The Remixes)

Following on from the release of his debut album on Complex Sound Sagacity, part two brings us a selection of remixes for a different take on the 8 tracks from part one.

Starting off with his own 'Conk Midi rmx' of 'A Song For Dan', removing the beats from the original and turning it into a somewhat choral ambient piece, the album also features Volitune's electro re-working of the track. There's another beatless melodic take on 'The Tale of Eamonn' from Mrs Jynx, stripping out the jungle beats of the original and leaving the orchestral beauty bare, while the 'Moth' remix of Danger Sock adds yet another totally different feel to the album. Ursa gives 'Maliverance' a funked up workover, adding choppy breaks and subs, and Acidburp turns in a stunning remix of Blue Wave, threatening to drop into mayhem at any moment and keeping the listener on the edge of their seat.

A fine accompaniment to the album itself, and a great collection of artists to bring together.
